I think I’m going to pick up a book on how to do calligraphy. I consider myself a pretty quick study and already have decent handwriting. How hard could it be?! (Ha! Those sound like famous last words!)
I’d love to be able to address my invitations and perhaps escort cards/table numbers myself. I’ve browsed the cost of having envelopes addressed by a professional calligrapher and it looks like the average is about $2.95/envelope so it would definitely be a cost savings to do it on my own … and I have a week and a half off at Christmas so that could be a good time to practice.
