dognbird: Artichokes have great texture and color. 5 minute candle holder transformation: Step 1: Pick a lovely artichoke ($2) and cut off the bottom so it stays upright.Step 2: Cut across top; carve out inside until you get to the clean interior leaves.Step 3: Give the artichoke hole a nice lemon juice bath so it doesn’t oxidize.Step 4: Insert a votive or small candle holder and a tealight.
